About Us
What We Are
Asuo Collective CIC is a community-led organisation focused on supporting everyday mental wellbeing through connection, conversation, and shared understanding. We exist to create safe, inclusive spaces where people feel able to reflect on their experiences and engage openly with others in a respectful and supportive environment.

Our approach is rooted in lived experience, cultural awareness, and the belief that wellbeing is strengthened through meaningful human connection.
Our Values
Our work is guided by five core values:
-
Inclusivity – welcoming people from all backgrounds
-
Respect – valuing lived experience and diverse perspectives
-
Safety – maintaining clear boundaries and safeguarding
-
Community – fostering connection and shared understanding
-
Integrity – operating openly, responsibly, and transparently
Why We Exist
Many people experience emotional challenges that sit outside clinical thresholds but still benefit from space, understanding, and support. Asuo Collective CIC was established to respond to this need by offering community-based spaces that encourage dialogue, reflection, and learning.

We are committed to working alongside existing health and social care services, not in place of them, and to signposting individuals to appropriate professional support where needed.
Our Commitment
Asuo Collective CIC is committed to operating responsibly and ethically. Safeguarding, accessibility, and accountability are central to everything we do, ensuring that our spaces remain respectful, supportive, and safe for all.
What We Are-What We are Not
We are:
-
A Community Interest Company (CIC)
-
Community-led and inclusive
-
Non-clinical and non-therapeutic
-
Guided by safeguarding, transparency, and ethical practice
We are not:
-
A counselling or therapy service
-
A crisis or emergency support provider
-
A replacement for professional mental health care
Our Approach
Asuo Collective CIC takes a community-led, non-clinical approach to mental wellbeing.
We focus on creating spaces that are accessible, inclusive, and grounded in respect for lived experience. Our approach prioritises listening, shared understanding, and clear boundaries, ensuring that people feel supported without pressure or judgement.

We work alongside existing services and encourage individuals to seek professional support where appropriate, while remaining clear about the scope and limits of our role
